Father Van Den Broek Brings The Hollanders (1848)

Dutch missionary priest Father Theodore Van den Broek led shiploads of Catholic immigrants from the Netherlands to the Fox River in 1848, and Little Chute became the heart of Dutch America in Wisconsin. The Town of Vandenbroek was later named in his honor, and Little Chute’s working windmill keeps the heritage turning today.
