Waupaca County Created (1851)

The Wisconsin Legislature created Waupaca County in 1851 as settlers pushed up the Wolf and Waupaca rivers. Communities like Clintonville, Marion, Manawa, Iola, and Weyauwega grew along its rivers and rail lines in the decades that followed.
