Fish for Kids is a community-based organization designed to show children the positive effects of fishing and the outdoors. Fish for Kids is a 501c(3) organization under GOEBEL Family Foundation Inc. As a senior in high school Tony Goebel started the organization called “Fish for Kids” which introduces children to the amazing sport of fishing as well as provides them the knowledge and tools to continue the sport in the future. For 14 years now, Tony has held a FREE annual fishing event for kids in Wisconsin. Seven events have been held in Fond du Lac at Lakeside Park, three events at Abe Rochlin Park in Oshkosh (the city where Tony attended college – UW Oshkosh), then to De Pere for two years and Green Bay one year. This year, the 14th Annual Event is coming back to Abe Rochlin Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin!
Tony loves to fish, hunt, camp, and be outdoors with his friends and family. He has been teaching kids various sports including baseball and fishing since he was 14 years old. Holding the annual Fish for Kids event is one of his most enjoyable and rewarding times of the year for him! Tony is also on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley (BBBS) and is partnering with them to further advance their mission of mentoring kids. Tony volunteers almost a full month a year for free to coordinate the Fish for Kids event. In 2013, he started 5G Benefits LLC, an insurance & benefits consulting agency, and has grown to having locations in Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Appleton, and Green Bay.
