Who We Are

This website is owned and operated by Fox Valley Web Design LLC ("FVWD," "we," "us," "our"), a family-owned web design, development, hosting, SEO and media company located at 2159 Sunny Brook Drive, Green Bay, WI 54313. Information Collected Automatically

You can browse this entire website without telling us who you are. Like nearly every website, some technical information is collected automatically while you visit:

• Server logs. Our hosting server records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested, and the date and time. We use this for security and troubleshooting.
• Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages get read, how people found us (search engine, referral link, social media), general location (country, state, city, never your street address), time on page, and the browser and device used. This data reaches us in aggregate; we see patterns, not identified people.

Analytics runs only in line with your cookie choices (see Cookies & Your Consent below). If you prefer to opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google offers a free browser opt-out add-on.

Information You Choose To Give Us

• Quote and contact forms. Our forms (built with the Gravity Forms software running on our own server) ask for things like your name, email, phone number, company, and details about your project. Submissions are stored in our website database and emailed to our team so we can respond. Spam protection may quietly check submissions to keep bots out.
• Newsletter signup. If you join the FVWD newsletter, your name, email, and company name go to Mailchimp, the email service we use to send it. See Our Newsletter below.
• Email, phone and messages. If you email or call us, we keep normal business records of that correspondence.

Simple rule: information you send us is used to answer you, quote your project, and serve you as a client. Nothing else. We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

Cookies & Your Consent

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Ours fall into two buckets: essential cookies that make the site function (these are always on), and optional ones such as analytics and embedded content. When you first visit, our consent banner (powered by the Complianz privacy suite) asks what you allow. Optional cookies and third-party embeds wait for your answer, and you can change your mind anytime through the cookie settings link in the site footer or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Because our optional cookies already wait for your explicit consent, saying no in our banner accomplishes the same thing.

Third-Party Services This Site Uses

We keep our list short and boring on purpose. Here is every outside service that touches this website, what it does, and what it can see:

• Google Analytics 4 (traffic measurement). Sees anonymized usage data as described above. Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
• Google Fonts (typography). Your browser requests font files from Google’s servers, which technically shows Google your IP address, the same as loading any file from any server.
• Gravity Forms (our form software). Runs on our own server; your form answers stay in our database and inbox. The software vendor does not receive your submissions.
• Mailchimp (Intuit) (newsletter delivery). Stores our subscriber list and tracks whether newsletters get opened and clicked. Governed by Intuit’s privacy statement.
• Embedded social content. A few pages display posts embedded from social platforms such as Facebook. When an embed loads, that platform can set its own cookies and see that you viewed it, just as if you visited the platform directly. Our consent banner governs these embeds.
• Weather feed. The Green Bay weather box in our footer pulls conditions from a weather data service. It fetches weather, not visitors; it collects nothing about you.
• Caching and security software. Our server uses caching (WP Super Cache) and security tools to keep the site fast and safe. These process technical data only, no personal profiles.

Our Newsletter

The FVWD newsletter is strictly opt-in: you get it only if you sign up. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link that works instantly, no questions asked, and you can also just reply or call us and we will remove you by hand. We never sell, rent, or share our subscriber list, period.

Links That Leave This Website

This website links out generously, and by design: to our clients’ websites in our portfolio, to search engines and SEO tools in our directories, to AI chatbots and answer engines such as ChatGPT and Perplexity, and to our own social media profiles. Two honest things to know about every one of those links:

• Once you click away from foxvalleywebdesign.com, this privacy policy no longer applies. Each destination has its own privacy practices, cookie banners, and terms, and those govern your visit there.
• A link is not an endorsement, and we do not control what other websites, platforms, or AI services do with your data. That includes what an AI chatbot does with the questions you type into it.

We link to businesses and tools we consider worth knowing about, but read their policies the way you just read ours.

Social Media

We maintain profiles on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, and Behance. When you follow, like, message, or comment there, that interaction happens on their servers under their privacy policies. Anything you send us by social media direct message is treated like any other business correspondence.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes, to provide and support the services you hire us for, to send the newsletter you asked for, to understand which parts of our website are useful so we can improve it, to keep the site secure, and to meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations. That is the whole list.

When Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. Information leaves our hands only in these narrow cases: with the service providers listed above, strictly so they can do their jobs for us; if the law genuinely requires it (a valid subpoena or court order); or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public from fraud or abuse. If FVWD were ever sold or merged (after nearly three decades, do not hold your breath), business records would transfer with the business and this policy would still apply to them.

How Long We Keep Things

Form submissions and business correspondence are kept as ordinary business records for as long as they are useful and as long as tax and legal rules require. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard schedule and viewed by us in aggregate. If you want something specific deleted, ask; see the next section.

Your Choices & Rights

Regardless of what state or country you are in, we honor the common-sense set of privacy rights: you can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (unless a legal or contractual obligation requires keeping it), unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and decline optional cookies via our banner. We will respond personally; there is no ticket queue here, it is a family business and one of us will simply take care of it.

Security

This site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, on maintained and updated software, with access limited to our team. We take reasonable, industry-standard precautions to protect the information we hold. That said, honesty requires saying what every security professional knows: no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please do not send sensitive information such as passwords or full financial details through our public forms; if a project requires exchanging credentials, we will arrange a safer channel.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

A Note About Client Websites

We build, host, and set up Google Analytics for many client websites. Those websites belong to our clients, and each has (and is responsible for) its own privacy policy. This policy covers foxvalleywebdesign.com only.

Changes To This Policy

When our tools or practices change, this page changes with them, and the date at the top tells you when. Meaningful changes will be visible here rather than buried. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
